To nominate a student complete each of the following steps:

1. Inform the student you have chosen that he or she has been nominated for the National Set A Good Example Competition and an opportunity to win a prize because of good work, leadership and good example set for others this school year. (Current contest ends April 10, 2003)
2. Tell the student that he or she will need to write up a report in 700 words or less describing thier personal abilities and any project or good deed done that sets an example. These are any one or more of the 21 chapters they can read about in the bookThe Way to Happiness. If you don't know how to get this book contact the address below.
3. The student must then submit the report by mail to Set A Good Example Contest Headquarters, 2601 East Victoria, Unit 309, Rancho Dominguez, CA, 90220 postmarked no later than midnight April 10, 2003.
   Let the student know that he or she will be competing with others to win either a trip to Disneyland with your parents and a favorite teacher this year, or one of ten cash prizes. All contestants are commended and receive a free membership in the Set A Good Example Club. So this is a contest where everyone wins an award because they have contributed to helping self and others by setting good examples.
4. Urge the student to write a report that describes what was done to set a good example in detail. Explain how the deed was done and why it deserves to win the contest. Proof of accomplishments need to be sent with the report. Note: Proof can be in the form of photographs, artwork, newspaper clippings, letters or statements from other people who saw and liked the good example that was set.
