How the Contest is Judged

1. All entries will be judged on the basis of:

  1. Originality (0-100 points)
  2. Relevance to the theme SET A GOOD EXAMPLE (0-100 points)
  3. Contribution to your family (0-100 points)
  4. Contribution to your school (0-100 points)
  5. Contribution to your community (0-100 points)
  6. Personal initiative and self-reliance (0-100 points)
  7. Contribution towards safeguarding and improving the environment (0-250 points)
  8. Proof of learning improvement (0-250 points)

2. The four First Place Winners and winners of the Learning Improvement and Environmental awards will be chosen by a panel of independent judges whose decisions are final.

3. All prizes in this contest will be rewarded. In the event a winner of any award is disqualified the entry receiving judging scores closest to a winner's score will receive the award in question. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. Disney and vacation trips and prizes are awarded to individual winners and their own parent(s) or guardian(s) and one teacher chosen by the winner.

4. First place winners will be contacted by registered mail. Prizes for all other winner entries will be delivered in a timely manner by the Concerned Businessmen's Association of America.

5. Winners must accept prize trips during the time period specified in their awards notification letters.

6. Disneyland trips include roundtrip fares, other accomadations including an award lunchon and certain fees. All other meals, snacks, gratuities, side trips of the winners choice, phone and personal incidentals are at the winner's, parent's, guardian's and teacher's expense.

7. All written entries, photos and letters of proof become the property of The Concerned Businessmen's Association of America, with all rights, including the right to edit, publish and use contents of any written entry and/or any photo without any further consideration of payment to contestants. No correspondence regarding entries will be entered into, nor will photos, project reports or entry information be returned to entrants. For a list of winners send a stamped, self addressed envelope to the address below along with a request for the list of winners.
