CBAA Receives Awards from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
The County of Los Angeles recently held an open-to-the-public meeting where the fourth item on the day's agenda was recognition of winners and sponsors of the National Set A Good Example competition.
County Board Commendation Scrolls were awarded to the Concerned Businessmen's Association of America for its outstanding educational program. Mayor Roosevelt Dorn received a scroll for the City of Inglewood along with the Inglewood Police Department. This city is the first in the state of California to offer a city-wide Set A Good Example Contest.
The various business sponsors of the contest competition were also presented with commendation scrolls. Executive Software International of Glendale, Badger Landscaping of Tujunga, Silva Construction of Gardena, Centinela Animal Hospital for Diamond Bar and Marin Environmental Company of Hammond Connecticut were commended for fostering the Safeguard and Improve the Environment awards for children.
Commendation scrolls and cash awards were presented to the National Contest Gold Medal Winners, Rachel Rheinhart and Jeremy Carnes; Silver Medalist Gina Lorene Riggs and Deja Joi Allison. Other students receiving commendations for their Good Example Projects were James Saucedo, Cynthia Zamora, Jennifer Harris, Vanessa Victoria and Jasmin Carnes.
Fox Television covered the event! This is a huge recognition for the Concerned Businessmen's Association of America and for The Way to Happiness book.
